The VWHL sponsored a geophysical survey of the South Theater ("Odeum") at Hadrian’s Villa. The structure is situated on private property owned since the 17th century by the Bulgarini family. The work was undertaken by the firm Astier Studio of Livorno, Italy under the direction of Franco Morelli. The results will be reported in the dissertation on the South Theater being written by Matthew R. Brennan, a doctoral student affiliated with the VWHL.

VWHL receives generous donation
The VWHL was the recipient of a large gift from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. The funds will be used over the next five years to support the lab’s projects and, especially, the doctoral research of students affiliated with the VWHL.
